A few months ago Emily, Danya and I finally made a trip to Downtown LA to try the ice cream shop called Little Damage. I had seen the shop featured all over social media with their trendy black cones and black ice cream. I’ve been eating mainly vegan, so this ice cream was part of my cheat day, and I was really looking forward to it.
The shop itself is SUPER cute. Every wall is a perfect opportunity for a picture. We arrived right as the shop opened and there was no line. Emily and I both chose to try the black charcoal ice cream called “Black Jack”, which according to the shop, was actually flavored like pumpkin pie. The flavor of the black charcoal ice cream rotates seasonally.
We took as many pictures possible with the ice cream before it rapidly melted. I managed to get it all over my white shirt (not pictured). Once the photoshoot was over, I took a bite and was a little disappointed. The ice cream was nearly flavorless.
Danya and I went back in the shop to get her ice cream. We hoped that another flavor might be better than the one Emily and I chose. Danya tried the Matcha Tea flavor, and it was slightly better than the charcoal-pumpkin Black Jack.
Overall the vibe and aesthetic of Little Damage is amazing. It’s a great place for a photoshoot to get that perfect Instagram-able ice cream pic. If you are looking for a super delicious, flavorful ice cream, this is not the place to go to.
I’m wearing several pieces from Rent the Runway. My favorite from the shoot is the Check Printed Coat from Cedric Charlier. This coat retails for $1600 and I was able to rent it through my monthly Unlimited Rental service with RTR. The bag is Chloe’s Midnight Collins Mini Cross Body Bag. The earrings are Alexis Bittar’s Blue Lace Agate Drop Earrings. The white blouse is from Express. I am obsessed with the big sleeves! The OTK boots are from Steve Madden.
The gorgeous white roses from the shoot are from Rose Shire Co.
